Polished Bauxite BAU132 Rhodo Rainforest Jasper slabBAU132. Bauxite (laterite) rough rock, cut and polished on one side. Dimensions at widest points approximately 135 mm x 95 mm x 55 mm thick. Weighs 1,135 grams. Bauxite is the main raw material used in the commercial production of aluminium. Large reserves of this stone occur in Western Australia. This specimen is from east of the Darling Ranges just outside the city of Perth.
