Olympische Spiele München 1972 Poliakoff Poster the return of the Prodigal Child Based on the novel by"Olympische Spiele Mnchen 1972" French painter Serge Poliakoff was a Russian born French modernist painter belonging to the 'New' cole de Paris. This poster is one of a series of 24 for the 1972 Munich Olympics. They were all created by popular artists of the time, and were linked to that particular artist's visual identity. The artists were told to avoid the use of any red and black on them (which were traditionally associated with Nazi Germany).
