Immell had worked in French Morocco, Algeria and Italy and Coudraux had worked with the French Army during and since the first World War. "Conad History" (Continental Advance) was created to preserve the history of the United States Army supply forces, and to provide a basis for future studies by the United States War Department. The book covered
