Ascendeur Ropeman 2 - Wild Country Mammut Meteor Climbing Helmet by Petzl:The Ropeman 2 ascender is a good alternative to Prusik loops or heavier ascenders. It is essentially an incomplete ascender until you attach a screw lock carabiner to it. The carabiner acts as a column against which the cam presses the rope. This version features forged side plates and an aluminum cam; it is slightly lighter than previous versions and ensures smooth operation with various types of carabiners and thin ropes.
